 Hi all. Today I would like to share with you the cad model library which you can refer to. As mechanical designer, it is important to have the correct CAD model references in the design. Standard parts like motor, bearing, coupling, sensor, and other parts of the machine, you may download the cad file instead of redraw them.  Here I share with you the sample of job advertised for this position : Basically, what mechanical design engineer do is :  1. To understand the specification requirement from the customer 2. To prepare conceptual design of the machine, layout, proposal, etc. 3. To discuss with other department/team(electrical, programming, assembly) how to combine all element in the machine based on the conceptual/proposal. Some may requires to talk with vendor/supplier on the standard parts selection. 4.Once all is clear, detail design. Means the conceptual need to design into specific design, like to use screw, bearing, etc. 5. Once the detail design is complete, the review is done. Some of the modification/ changes need to be done based on reviewer comments. 6. Once the design is confirmed, detail drawing-prepare dimensioning drawing, Also known as pickup dimensioning. 7.
